Can you insulate the attic in an older stone or brick twin?
Yes. Spray foam fits around uneven framing, chimneys, and odd corners that batts and boards can't seal. We'll look at the space and recommend closed cell, open cell, or a mix.
Can you fix a room over the garage that's never comfortable?
Often, yes. Rooms over garages lose heat and cool air through the floor, rim area, and walls. We'll look at how it's built and recommend the right foam to seal it.
Closed cell or open cell: which do I need?
It depends on the space. Closed cell (PolyCon PC 2000, about R-7.1 per inch) is best where moisture or tight space is an issue, like basements, rim joists, and roof decks. Open cell (PolyCon PC 450, about R-3.9 per inch) is a good value for walls, attics, and sound control. We'll recommend what makes sense, and sometimes that's a mix.
